Fireplaces and gas piping
Gas fireplaces and gas piping in Yakima
Install, service and repair for gas fireplaces, plus gas piping and real wood stove experience, from the crew that also keeps your furnace running.
Chapter 01
What a fireplace tells you before it fails
A pilot that will not stay lit, a faint gas smell near the hearth, soot on the glass, a stove that smokes back into the room, a fan that rattles or a fireplace that takes three tries to light. These are the usual first signs, and they tend to show up on the first cold night of the year, when everyone wants the fire at once.
Anything that burns fuel in your house depends on three things working together: a gas supply that is tight, a flue that draws, and enough air to burn on. If one of them is off, the unit may still run while it does the job badly. That is the reason a fireplace call is worth making early.

An ACT trailer lettered Gas Piping, Fireplaces, Central Heating and Cooling
Install, service and repair, with the gas side included
ACT installs, services and repairs gas fireplaces, and runs gas piping for them. The truck and trailer in the photos carry the same line on their sides: Gas Piping, Fireplaces, Central Heating and Cooling. The shop fascia on West Mead Avenue lists fireplaces too. It is one crew that can sort out the burner, the vent and the line that feeds it.
Wood stoves are a separate kind of job, and ACT has real experience with them. Customers bring up Javier by name when wood-burning stoves come up, and you can read what they say below. If you heat with wood and want a backup that does not run on electric baseboard, ask about a heat pump alongside the stove.
Gas piping gets the same care as the visible equipment. Lines are sized for the appliances on them and installed per code.
Chapter 03
Annual checks, and calling before the holidays
Have the fireplace, its vent and its gas connections looked at once a year, ahead of the heating season. That is a better time than the week your relatives arrive. A yearly look catches a worn part, a blocked vent or a loose connection while it is still a small job.
Keep working carbon monoxide alarms on each level of the house, and treat a gas smell, a headache that clears when you leave the house or a vent that is not drawing as a reason to stop using the unit and call. ACT offers 24 Hour Emergency HVAC Service: (509) 388-2997.
Licensed, bonded and insured. WA contractor licences ABSOLCT883LK and ABSOLCT894PU. Call (509) 388-2997.
